 Description
DescriptionThe Red-Vented Bulbul feeds on fruit, nectar, insects and occasionally lizards.
Blackish crest, upperparts, and underparts. Whitish wash on belly. Black bill. Dark brown ear patch. White rump and tail band, which are visible when bird's in flight. Red vent. Immature birds are silimar to adults, but are duller in color and have brownish edgings on feathers. Sexes similar. 8.5 inches in length.
Southern Asia, Fiji, and Hawaii (1950's unauthorized cage release in O'ahu).
 Nesting
Nesting2-4 eggs. The eggs have a ? day incubation period. Fledging occurs in ? days. Builds its nest in large trees in urban areas and mountain forests. Breeds year-round.
