LINDO LAKE

Situated in the center of Lakeside, Lindo Lake is the only natural freshwater lake in San Diego County. This lake is an excellent birding location with a large variety of birds, including Grackles, Cedar Waxwings, White Pelicans (sometimes), nesting Cormorants, egrets, and lots of ducks. In May 2002, there were 7 pairs of nesting Great Blue Herons.

Directions:
From Mission Valley, take I-8 EAST to 67 North. Exit Winter Gardens Blvd., stay RIGHT. Make an immediate LEFT onto Woodside Ave. Continue straight to the lake.
